"I bought this to replace the cheap and ugly plastic spigot that came with my Big Berkey water filter. The black plastic spigot on the Big Berkey always dripped a little. It finally cracked and leaked all over the counter and the floor. I decided to spend the extra 5 bucks to get the Brew Tapper stainless steel spigot and I am very glad I did. It looks real nice on the Big Berkey and it does not leak at all, not even a drip. Also, the lever on the spigot turns effortlessly. With the old plastic spigot, I would have to hold the Berkey from moving when I would turn the spigot on. This is not so with the new Brew Tapper spigot as it turns on and off with no effort.

The spigot came with (2) new plastic washers and chrome covers to put over them. I tightened up everything real tight just using my hand and a rag for extra leverage. It has worked perfectly with no leaks since I installed it some 6 weeks ago. Highly recommend."

I wanted a metal spigot for my water dispenser. I have always had a plastic one, but with all the concerns about leaching of chemicals I wanted to find a metal alternative. It works great! NO LEAKS.

Most importantly, NO METALLIC TASTE!

If you're using a plastic spigot, ditch it and buy this Stainless Steel alternative.

I would recommend soaking in hot, soapy water for awhile before using it because it doesn't arrive sealed in plastic. I used a small brush to clean inside."
